Reader of books. Lover of nature. Doing my damndest to squeeze everything out of this wild and precious life. Live and let live.
I'm afraid to fly for the first time in my life.

Like I bet in the break room one Air traffic controller suggests "you know we just let one crash.. bet we get paid a little faster." And another responds "Jesus Christ Jason you can't say that." But then they smirk and decide just a little one.

Snap benefits being on pause as the White House gets a ballroom has to be as close as we've been to "let them eat cake" ammiright?

Uh.. guys?
Trump: San Francisco and Chicago, New York, Los Angeles… We'll straighten them out one-by-one. It will be a major part for some of the people in this room. It’s a war too. It’s a war from within

I feel like Coors should be cheaper at Coors Field. Not that I want to drink that anyway, I'm just saying.

In an effort to complete all of Wes Anderson I just watched The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar on Netflix. It's short, less than an hour but fantastically done. Benedict Cumberbatch at his best.

I've been watching "Conan O'Brien Must Go" on flights lately and get a little self conscious about how much I laugh out loud. He's seriously the funniest dude on the planet.

The desert of Utah is a lot like the backroom of the club - better to leave the blacklight off. Ignorance is bliss.

My Uber driver, female, has a pool cue in the front seat. Just a half.

"do you play?"

"That's if someone tries to mess with me."

Badass.

Astroid City is the weirdest Wes Anderson film yet, still with occasional laughs. That "uh-huh" is sharp perfection.

We won't be celebrating, we'll be honouring and reflecting on the death of a once great nation

WW2 bombers just did a fly over the parade. Planes from an era where the US used to fight Nazis instead of elect them.
July 4, 2025 at 3:17 PM
Taking that tiny American flag from the parade and turning it upside down.
I’ll celebrate freedom when we have it. Fuck the fourth. Let freedom ring when we take it back. It’s beyond time to get aggressive and take back what’s ours. Being nice got us here.

They passed the fucking monstrosity of a bill. Medicaid just got gutted. ICE just got a bigger budget than the Marines.
But let's celebrate the nation tomorrow huh?

There are only three political positions in America today

1) I like the fascism

2) I'll acquiesce to the fascism (reasons for this one vary: cowardice, access, denial, misguidedly thinking that acquiescence is savvy, etc)

3) I oppose the fascism

The rest is details

We are not a serious country.
It never ceases to amaze me how we have money to bomb the shit out of other countries but not feed our children or provide adequate healthcare. Priorities. What do you spend $ on? That’s what matters. And apparently bombing the shit out of others is what matters to us.

Came out of the woods after 3 days off grid to find out WW3 really is going to start before Canada gets a Stanley Cup.

Public lands under attack is so frustrating because the answer is call your representative, but my representative is a coward that's emailing me about how the big beautiful bill is a win for Idaho. Fuck you, Mike Simpson.

Realized I have never seen a Wes Anderson film, took the classic jumping in point (The Grand Budapest Hotel.)

It was delightful. I laughed throughout! I can't believe it took me this long.

Camping but that didn't stop us from joining the #NoKings protest in our own way.

I can get behind that.

I was just trying to find the punk rock tacos in LA. I'm really quite satisfied with my life.
June 10, 2025 at 5:15 PM
You know what the national guard and myself have in common?

We're both heading to LA.

Let's hope I can avoid getting tear gassed this time.

The biggest problem I have as a bald is sweating through hats. You can measure the strength of the season in hats-ruined units.

"I can tell already it's a 3 hat summer."

Open mindedness.
