Writing an #eruri Nutcracker AU, but devoting all my page space to the gay dance uncles #kenuri backstory. Ballet dancer Erwin and Levi's first date conversations for #wipwednesday.
Fan fiction text reading: "How did they meet, if you don't mind me asking? They seem…" "Different? Literally the last people you'd ever expect to be together?" Levi cracked a sly smile. Erwin relished it. "I guess that's what I was getting at." "Yeah, I dunno. It's a cliché, but they complement each other. They met when my mom went down to New York for ballet school. She was seventeen, so Kenny went along to chaperone. That went about as well as you’d imagine. Long story short, a few months later my mom came back pregnant with me and Kenny came back with Uri. My grandparents were pissed." Erwin was relieved when Levi smiled again, since he wasn't sure how to react to that information. "Anyway, so now you know the origin story of Trost Ballet. Teen pregnancy and Kenny's gay awakening. Tell me more about you."

Finally getting around to posting my #eruri #kenuri Nutcracker AU wip on here. Levi, Kenny, and Uri run a small town ballet studio. They hire Erwin, a professional dancer and visiting instructor at a local college, to play the Prince in their annual production of The Nutcracker. #wipwednesday
Every Sunday from late August to December, kids in leotards would file into the Trost Ballet Academy studio and rehearse the story of Clara – the little girl who falls asleep after a Christmas party and dreams of traveling to the Land of Sweets. Levi knew every scene, every character, and every bar of music. While some people’s new year began on January 1st, for the Reiss-Ackerman family, each new year began on Nutcracker Audition day. “Levi! Get in here, the stereo’s acting up again,” hollered Kenny from the front door. “Tried kicking it?” “Yep, still needs your special touch,” said Kenny as Levi reached the front steps. “I’d let it occupy you awhile, otherwise Uri will just give you more busy work.”

Offering up some solstice bonfire eruri on this wintery #wipwednesday night.
Fanfiction screenshot saying: As the bonfire died down, people streaked ashes on their faces for good luck and howled at the darkness and did whatever else felt primal and right on a night like this. Levi felt warm and fuzzy; he had had enough mulled cider to feel it sting in the creases of his lips. Leaning against the Commander’s arm, he allowed himself to link his pinky with Erwin’s. Erwin didn't break his concentration – he was deep in discussion with Miche – but the pad of his finger stroked insistently back against Levi's. This invisible dance continued, quietly, obscenely, until Erwin stood and excused himself from the last holdouts by the bonfire and headed back to the mess hall. Levi followed.
