The School Shooting Victims Memorial Project honors the lives lost to school shootings in the United States. The first phase of the project involves gathering clothing outfits to represent the 453 children killed by gun violence in U.S. K-12 schools. 💔
Correction: The children were 6 or 7. None saw their 8th birthdays. 😥

Thankfully, no one was injured this time, but it reminded us that every human makes mistakes, and mistakes involving firearms are some of the most dangerous.

Once all 453 children are represented, we plan to hold marches, carrying all 57 lines through the streets, and stationary memorial vigils.

We hope that visualizing the vast scale of this loss of innocent, young lives will inspire viewers to work together to prevent gun violence in American schools.

Each clothes line can hold eight outfits. This means we will need 57 lines to display outfits representing all 453 American children killed, to date, at a K-12 school. We have already displayed lines at vigils (as seen in our profile photo) and at rallies, as shown here.
