YES. This moment did it for me. The skill and experience that those cave divers brought was ASTOUNDING. Talking shit about any of them made him look like such a sad little excuse for a man.

In a way, yes. The sad part of the story: she is not alive. I found her deceased inside a brussel sprout, and I posed and photographed her to honor her little life. She is still in the geode.

I said that too, but cavers are a really fun cult, soooo... 😬 Getting hit by falling rock in cave is wayyyy more common than getting stuck, and makes for a faster and less traumatic ending if it kills you.

This is fascinating! CPs & spiders are both obsessions of mine. At the Splinter Hill Bog Preserve in AL, I saw a lynx spider hiding her young in a sarracenia (leucophylla?). Different species but I still had to over share bc it was awesome.
