Today we held a final coordination meeting under Bring Kids Back UA to align next steps on supporting and reintegrating children returned from deportation and occupied territories.

Reintegration is a long-term, shared responsibility — and a core part of Better Care Reform.

Training held for Regional Military Administrations and pilot communities in Sumy, Chernihiv&Zaporizhzhia regions.

Focused on interagency coordination, social services, family-based care, and monitoring the reform — to ensure coordinated support for every child.

🇺🇦 representatives took part in the 8th CGU meeting in Strasbourg, presenting progress on Better Care Reform and steps toward an integrated model to support vulnerable families.

A key priority remains the safe return and reintegration of children abroad.

Our team joined the TAIEX seminar in Podgorica to share 🇺🇦’s experience with the European Child Guarantee and learn from 🇪🇺 countries.

Key focus: children facing the biggest barriers, realistic planning, better data and targeted investments.

Lithuania is the first country to open an official rehabilitation channel for children returned from deportation — within Bring Kids Back UA.

Starting Jan 1, 2026, Ukraine will introduce a new system of financial support for foster parents and family-type homes.

On June 2, 2025, during talks in Istanbul mediated by Turkey, the Ukrainian side handed over a list of children who were deported to Russia, forcibly transferred within the temporarily occupied territories, or remain unlawfully held there.
