The hens got only veggies today (often they get random old leftovers), but they don't seem unhappy about it.

Okay, so I have this chain hanging from a hook in the covered run. Secretly, all hens are piranha. Mine love cauliflower, cabbage, and apples (which I put into a large wire box for them).

I took this video at 1:30 pm. It's now 2:50 pm and only the leaves are left. Those will be gone by night.

Lots of eggs today, and also lots of pecking.

Today's snack was mostly kale, which the hens like. There was also a lot of scratch!

This is Nugget. She has no brain cells at all anywhere in her whole body.

10 eggs today. I went out earlier than usual which means I missed the afternoon layers. Tomorrow will be bigger.

11 eggs today (I forgot to take a picture), but we got 21 (!!) yesterday.

Today is a Refill Day. Both scratch and kibble, and also water. Carrying 50lbs of feed (and scratch, but not both at once!) isn't my favorite but I do like the eggs which come from it.

It's a lovely sunny day, perfect for pecking everything in sight.
