Publisher of juggernaut books
I always get books for shoky’s three girl pals for their birthdays. These are what I picked for them this year - they are all 8 years old and if you have a kid between 8-10, these might be some good options for you. #shokybookclub

I love the lunch with the ft column and have always wanted to get my writers featured it in. The ft bureau chief loved the idea of having Abhijit banerjee but we added a twist - Abhijit would cook for him out of his books instead of the ft taking him out to lunch to a Resto. He cooked ip a feast!

There was a ten years old at Abhijit banerjee’s launch yesterday- so I thought I would ask him why he came. He wanted a pic with Abhijit but we couldn’t find the time but we’re getting him a signed copy which I hope he will read when he gets older!

#bookshelves of the week: loved this room with its scale, the floor to ceiling shelves and the view. Wouldn’t mind an afternoon there!

As an ivf mom who has done a ton of cycles, I really enjoyed watching joy. Felt very lucky I was able to access ivf 4 decades on from when the process was first invented. I hadn’t realised what a stigma it was when it was first introduced and that the first moms had to go into hiding from the press.

Beastly tales from here and there by vikram seth is an absolute classic and for good reason: witty Aesop fables like animal stories told in flawless verse. Great for 5+ #shokybookclub

An example of what we publishers do: we approached finshots a financial newsletter to turn their content into a book. Gave it a cute name, turned it into a dinky small sized book - and the book is doing very well, oh yes. That’s publishing at work
