A theater near me did a Cronenberg retrospective all summer! They showed one of his films every week through his career starting with Rabid and ending with Crimes of the Future. I'd always wanted to dive into his work but never knew where to start. It was awesome 👌

The 90s was also the height of shock entertainment. South Park, radio shock jocks, WWF of the era - it was pretty inescapable and fed into vitriolic news reports and outraged parents.
