Just incredible. To say it's "inspiring" seems a little trite, but that's what it is.

Yes, looking forward to pics from the new home! It's a really wonderful thing you're doing. ❤️😊

For quite a while now, my days haven't officially begun until I've checked in on Hili. And, of course, your writings, as well. 😉

Now my days are book-ended. Hili in the mornings, and @tailsandwhiskers.bsky.social in the evenings. Always charming and entertaining. I think you'd like them.

Do you think those are wounds on the doe's face? I can't quite tell what's going on there.

Ah, yeah, I see what you mean. If you do figure out some or all of it, be sure to post it!

Hazelton is in Luzerne County. I think that last word is Luzerne...

If you haven't already read it, you might like "The Naming of the Shrew". Your comment about taxonomists reminded me of it. 😊

Great photo with a very tricky subject! Must be stunning in real life. 😊

This is amazing! So what do you make of this? That it was an accident, but the larva was able to make the best of it? That this species is capable of regularly using a wider range of hosts plants than was believed? Even for a more generalist species, aspen and dogbane seem like quite a stretch!

Is that poison ivy they're happily tucked into? I know our cats love a good patch of poison ivy 😄
