Damn I wanted to tell my story about my dad dating the daughter of the mad scientist who created the formula for good and plenty

It has its flaws and it can only stream in 1080p. My hope is one day Gabe Newall uses his billions of dollars to make an updated model that streams in 4k, has better controller connectivity, and uses a better user interface.

The steam link box was the perfect solution. It’s the size of a small book, fitting much more neatly in my entertainment center than a big ugly console. And it allowed me and my girlfriend to play co-op Baldur’s Gate 3 on the couch, while keeping my PC upstairs.

Mine is more recent: the steam link box. I'm sure there is some app or fire stick solution to get my steam games to run on my TV downstairs, but I won't hear of it. I’ve tried the steam TV app before acquiring the box, but wireless controllers will not work on my Sony television. (1/3)

I went to a friend’s house to play the original and was confused. Top down view? Where was the side scrolling action and brutal difficulty?

Getting the N64 and Ocarina of Time made for the greatest Hanukkah ever and cemented us as true Zelda fans, having now played almost every game in the series.

My brother and I spent so much time lost in Link’s Adventure, unable to figure out how to get to one of the opening dungeons until I found a strategy guide at the local library. We never beat the game, even with a game genie. (2/3)

Does Zelda 2 count as spiritually a spinoff of the main series? I think it does. That was the only Zelda game in my household since we skipped Zelda 1. We then converted to Sega sickos, only getting the N64 after being burned by both the Sega CD and the Sega Saturn. (1/3)

Having adult money now, it's really the cost of time that affects my gaming habits. Not that I'm loaded, but I don't mind spending $70 on the latest game. But there's no point since I'm still playing the game I spent $70 on in 2024

Not to mention the game has arguably the best dungeons in the series. I don’t know if the game gets more hate because of the pacing or the controls, but I guess I have a tolerance to gimmicky controls because I’m a true sicko who also loves Phantom Hourglass. (4/4)

I haven’t played the switch remake but I didn’t mind the Wii controls at the time. Not sure how I’d feel playing it now but final boss felt truly epic. I'd knock him down, aim the remote to perform the jump-down-thrust only for the boss to roll away and continue the fight. (3/4)

I didn’t mind fighting the imprisoned over and over again. Chasing Kaiju-Cousin It up the hill was exhilarating and filled with tension. I haven’t played the switch remake but I didn’t mind the Wii larp-style controls at the time. (2/4)

Skyward Sword is my favorite game in the Zelda series. I agree with TL that the storytelling is at the franchise's best with Skyward Sword. Link felt like he had more agency in the story, the characters were all great, and the villain felt like a true villain. (1/4)

Bounding Boots in FFXI were dropped by Leaping Lizzy, who spawned every 2 hours.

Another player asked to team & split the earnings if one of us got the drop.

I finally took one down and it dropped boots. The other player begged me to let them "borrow" them. I split the gil, never got a thank you
