What makes Tik Tok worse for brains than Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts though? I don't disagree that most social media is bad for a lot of mental health, but if we're banning an app for being foreign instead of something like social harm, it's a problematic, slippery slope.

I think the problem is that TikTok doesn't seem any more or less bad than other social media apps, so it seems problematic to target it just because it's not American grown, while still allowing short form video apps. The reform needed isn't in one app, it's in an social media exosystem

I've always thought they should rebrand them as faction titles. I mean they basically let the Opps and the DR do that with injuries at points I think. If they became more of a story line prop of "look at this dominant faction" it would be a lot more effective.
