But say that, and all of a sudden you want the cartels to come into the US and sell drugs to kindergartners while raping their dogs. Or whatever the MAGAs are going to accuse somebody of, these days.

Eg. If the police work with ICE, then undocumented people will be afraid to report crimes, reducing the likelihood of criminals being caught and making life more dangerous not just for the undocumented people, but for everybody else, too.

Except for the criminals.

The sick should be able to seek a place where they are healed. Fear should not be keeping them away from there.

There are reasons why neither hospitals (nor the police) should ever be working with ICE, that go beyond questions of whether or not ICE should even exist.
