I am wondering if you are refering to university management, random bsky & x tech bros.. Or someone looking to release a GPT App in the upcoming store rumoured from OpenAI that will attempt to copyright sentence embeddings of your writings...

All law students doing Public Law this year as part of their LLB should watch this clear and accesable explanation of what the Rawanda Bill means in reality.

What a great post on Substack, hopefully after that intro you find the time to do the occasional piece as time allows.

Looks pretty substantive, started in June 2018 and took 12 negotiating rounds. Also quite interesting that they have included a specific chapter to promote and develop Maori trade and encomic development. Shows the UK how long proper trade negotiations take..

Congratulations Andreas. Unsurpisingly, at the begining of this year there was still limited academic litertaure on Generative AI. Your simple explanation around Generative AI training models (P8) was cited in my final research report, I would do the same again but now from a journal..

I suspect that the UK objective similarity test requiring a causal connection (Francis Day & Hunter v Bron) and Lord Millets comments in the HoL decision in Designers Guild would lead to the same result.

Thanks, this is a great read and I suspect the judge has used stronger lanuage than might be the case here in the UK.

One wonders if the government as a whole could not be held in contempt of court, notwhithstanding the principle of freedom from arrest. It seems that individual members might be committed without an invasion of the above privilege.

Great stuff, I read the substack and the linked summaries, have to say they seem pretty impressive. Three years ago I did someting in python and NLTK / spaCy to summarise 50 page public law papers. Nowhere near as elegant as what I just read.

Very recent US District Court Judgement in Anderson et el Vs Stability Ai et el. Judge dismissed most of the claims but allowed some to proceed. @technollama.bsky.social has very good insights into this area.
