Yesterday, @mayorofchicago.bsky.social, Ald. Taliaferro, and Chicago's First Lady joined CDOT, DSS, DOE, and community partners to celebrate the Our Roots Chicago program's milestone of 68,000 trees planted, which gets us closer to our goal of 75,000 trees and a more equitable tree canopy.

Yesterday, DOE, Chicago Public Library, & 2FM announced the completion of the first two Library Solar projects. As part of our #Chi100 initiative, the City installed new rooftop solar, lighting, & HVAC systems at the South Chicago and Humboldt Park library branches. www.chicago.gov/content/dam/...

Last week, we convened the Shoreline Advisory Board for the first time. The new board will help protect Chicago's shoreline from damage, especially as climate change makes storms more severe. We're excited to work together to ensure the resiliency of our beautiful lakefront.
