"Reclining on the left is the dying musician, surrounded by five musicians with the Angel of Death entering through a blue window, smiling widely. No one acknowledges his arrival, but he is already halfway into the room. The cuckoo clock announces that time is up. Below the clock, the musician's wife, wearing a long, black, fringed shawl, raises her hands in lamentation. She, alone, expresses grief. Floating at the top is a projection of the dying musician's vision of his many past lovers. The entire drama is of no consequence to the funny little animal eating from his bowl."
