Petition to Demand A World-Class Chicago Transit System: https://www.change.org/p/chicago-2100-demand-a-world-class-transit-future
This is beautiful, you should send this to the city. The crossing here at palmer after the semicircle is like 70ft wide, and cars whip around the overly wide street, with limited visibility to the crosswalk

It looks beautiful, but that's way too much money to spend on one station. We need to prioritize improving ridership at every other station (cleanliness + safety), plus fix the miles of slow zones

With limited resources, we need to focus on improving ridership by prioritizing the rider experience with every other station's outdatedness, cleanliness, and safety concerns.

Love the new station, but $400M+ is too much when so much of the network has slow zones and lacking proper maintenance

Whining is definitely easier than discussing real policy changes that allow density and promote transit reliability/expansion. These platforms are so much better for complaining and unproductive arguments than actual discussions on these issues

@atalliance.bsky.social How can we get some of these piloted in Chicago? There are some obvious spots that generate lots of bike trips

Fooled me for a second, still great to see engagement and leadership pushing for any way to promote ridership

What would you implement to make it more dog friendly? I see plenty of people bring service animals on the cta no problem. Cleanliness would be top of my list

Chicago has a great arterial bus network, would love to see it be more frequent and have priority lanes, as discussed in the recent corridor improvement study. danielthomasgentil.wixsite.com/chicago2100/...

Great to see them embrace 10min frequency as the new standard on major routes, would love to see more priority lanes like discussed in the corridor study meetings

Huge accessibility issue, and a reason many don't walk and ride in the winter months. We should invest in our infrastructure and keep it clear of snow

Read the latest blog post about the community meeting on Dec 1 here, and how our city desperately needs this project, and reform and a vision to deliver more than just this. danielthomasgentil.wixsite.com/chicago2100/...

This is huge, effects will take time but development can help the housing supply. Next reform is height and dwellings per lot!
