Not a US expert yet that there's an oligarchy dominating ideology and institutions in the US is no news. Perhaps a first is having one such institutios say it out loud.

There's a say: "it takes a community to raise a child". It takes a community to do research too. Those who came before me, those in my network and the ones opening themselves up to me. And as important, the #morethanhuman: the #river and full ecosystems that are part of my community and #research.

Despite the severe ecological dysfunction that persists at Killarney National Park, there's still nowhere else in Ireland like it. But the scale of squandered potential is heartbreaking.

No-nonsense, effective management of invasive sika deer, goats, + rhododendron would change that.

🎉CASE WIN: We’ve just blocked a gas project in Italy🎉

We’ve just won in court against the Italian authorities, as they had approved a gas project that would threaten species in Italy’s iconic Po Delta, next to a Marine Protected Area.

The project would have pumped out hundreds of thousands of barrels of gas from the seabed each day – and put dolphins and turtles in grave danger.

I suppose my first post in this new space, is an example of post-human #feminism?
Nearly all animals make more of themselves the traditional way, by combining eggs and sperm. But some female birds, reptiles and other animals have an alternative called parthenogenesis: no males needed.
Self-Love Is Important, but We Mammals Are Stuck With Sex
Some female birds, reptiles and other animals can make a baby on their own. But for mammals like us, eggs and sperm need each other.
