If a person loses their job it throws them but they'll recover. If they then lose their home it's hard but possible to find their way back. If they also lose their family they're thrown long term. If their dignity is then taken, their tether to hierarchical societal norms often never returns.

The Brookings Institute put out a study that said the greatest predictor of crime is poverty. They're problematic, like any think tank, but it's ironic they admit this common sense reality.

If someone can't afford basic needs to live, then they have nothing left to lose & laws become meaningless.

I'd been planning to get mine at annual wellness exam w/ my primary at a Fairview clinic when I can schedule it. But yeah, their website still says they haven't gotten it. 😑

Guess I'll go back to CVS website to schedule as they've been giving covid & flu shots in MN for a few weeks now.

Disability is the only marginalized group ANYONE can join at any moment; in addition Immigrant, Black, Trans, & pregnant people have already been targeted by fascists in both parties. 1 side is acting inhumane while the controlled opposition party is allowing it.

Disability is the anchor that ensures all other forms of marginalization continue. This is 1 way empire's leadership protects their power/money. "If you speak against empire there must be something wrong w/ you, so we can take your rights."

From quick internet search & prev talk w/ librarian, they can't buy cheapest dvd from anywhere; they have to buy little more expensive version from specific company. Then "first sale" doctrine allows for legal lend/rent. Same for books.

Seems if library bought already, no extra profit from lending.

Buying dvds still gives them profits.

Go to your local library instead. They can buy a dvd once for hundreds to watch for free, or order it from a library that already owns it.

Then see if the library has used book/dvd sales if you must own the dvds.

Support your library, not hate for profit.
