We echo our member Cordaid in calling on the EU to take urgent measures to protect civilians in the #DRC, especially those in the most vulnerable circumstances and those who have been displaced. The int community and the parties to the conflict must work actively to find lasting peace.
After the M23 captured #Goma, the conflict with the Congolese army spread to South Kivu. Cordaid joins the Bishops of Goma and Bukavu in expressing deep concern about the distress caused by the recent outbreak of violence in the eastern region of the #DRC.
