It's sad to think about it like that but it also becomes a little easier when you stop expecting something that won't come, simply because they won't bring effort into the friendship. Had a similar situation with my former best friend and when I realized that we both probably view this friendship soo differently and i always ended up disappointed I tried to stop viewing her as my 'best friend' but I still find myself struggling with it, even years later. Friendships aren't easy

It's also a very good experience when your favorite artists are getting into a fandom late you've been in for ages and having the same experience it seems 😌
