The most exciting news this week is that Cheyenne and Tess came into town. I wanted to throw them a party to celebrate their marriage locally with friends, six months after their wedding in Vancouver. Now, that’s happening next week!

Cheyenne and Tess arrived from Canada for a short visit, and we went to a Lady Gaga drag brunch at Jasper White’s Summer Shack in Boston with a few of my gal pals, some experiencing their first drag show!

We had a family outing in Natick, starting with dinner at The Cheesecake Factory before heading to Bosse, where my son, Sequoya, works.

Tess and I spent over two hours chipping away at three-inch-thick ice in the driveway. Being on the shady side of the street, where the sun barely reaches, made the process slow without salt. My hands were especially sore from gripping the ice pick tool.

We spent time on the beach whenever we could, soaking up the late-summer sun. Sand between our toes, waves rolling in, and those perfect moments that make you pause and breathe a little deeper.
