they just told that child that her thoughts and feelings do not matter. that her truth does not matter. that she’s obligated to people please. that if she is in trouble with an authority figure she CANNOT go to them for help, because they won’t care.

my day job is for a small company and i ship all over the world and delays/lost packages/annoying clients happen all the time. i would get fired SO QUICK if i talked to them like this. and my bosses are so lax they didn’t notice i took a 1+ hr lunch once (unintentionally)
