The most amazing thing is, IMHO, that we already know the ending, an it's still edge of your seat.

Some of the rebels were separatist, some wanted the republic back, other had different motives. Look at Saw Gerrera’s conversation with Luthen in Andor S1. That was part of the problem the rebels had that needed solving before taking the empire full on, they had to become an alliance.
