Thanks! Definitely the vibe I was going for...I've never done a battle damaged army before, so for this I really wanted to experiment and lean into it.

Really inspired by the novel "Shattered Legions" and Space Marine 2 for the grit.

Thankfully not at all. We don't actually get that much rain, and the water only ever gets up to about your knee height at most, even during the wettest times of year--but I'd never explore a tunnel like this if there was rain or wet in the forecast anyway.

The echo through the drain tunnels are sometimes hollow sounding, but carry far. The winding turns and strange geography of the tunnel can seem to amplify whispers and big movements. It's eerie but also no different than a natural cavern.

Yes there are!

'Horus Rising' is the first of the eleven "core books" of the Horus Heresy. Followed by 'False Gods', then 'Galaxy in Flames'.
