It would be nice, but sadly in the political environment we have in this country, the only thing that Congress would do is hold no confidence votes, 24/7.

In that universe: Action against climate change is working; solar & wind power are pretty much everywhere; the national debt is pretty much zero; we have national health insurance; we have high speed passenger rail; there was never a war in Iraq. Finally, there is a chance that 9/11 never happened.

A quarter of a century later, I still hope that Ralph Nader and all those who voted for him have explosive diarrhea whenever it is most inconvenient.

I would be very happy if MAGA women did not vote in 2026 or 2028.

(Please read that very carefully and think about what I'm saying.)

If we were a more serious body politic, the blue would be about 90% and the read about 6%. The others items- as they are.

It would show something less intellectual than this.
a cartoon of a monkey holding a dumbbell in front of a yellow house

Very true. We should have one and two dollar coin, just like Canada (and the Euro). Cash transactions are rounded up or down to the nearest five cents. Electronic transactions (credit cards, etc) are still exact to the cent.

First, where was this...which city council? Second, I'm sure I'm not the only one here who just wants to give that kid a hug and try to tell him that everything will be okay.
Just devastating to watch.

Why do I feel like the world has turned inside out and upside down reading this?

A container of milk left out in the sun on the day that was written would’ve aged better.

I was about to find and post the exact same thing.

Now I'd like to seem them put Trump's insanity and other health issues front page and above the fold.

And even if he did change his mind, his name remains on the ballots.

I’m convinced he wants Mamdani to win because he hates Cuomo so much.

If anything, the full broadcast just enforces what the ad was saying.

If there are 10 ICE goons, there needs to 200 protesters. If there are 20 of them, there needs to be 400 blocking their way. Outnumber them by a factor of 20.

Hearing the full message explains even further why high, across the board tariffs are truly a terrible thing, and even smaller, targeted tariffs should be used rarely.

The Reagan Library's call for everyone to listen to whole speech just makes their (and the moron's) case against the ad weaker.

I ranked Cuomo second in the primary and didn't rank Mamdani at all. (Lander was my first choice.). But as this campaign has dragged on, come this weekend, I'll vote for Mamdani. I'm just absolutely tired of the old boys' network.
