Today is the 220th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, in which the Royal Navy and a combined fleet of the French and Spanish navies clashed during the War of the Third Coalition. The Royal Navy prevailed, but at the cost of losing Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson.
