Grief is such a weird thing. My mom has been gone for almost 10 years. I've long since gotten past the difficulty of the daily and mostly reconciled my complicated relationship with her. But she comes to me in dreams sometimes and I get to hug her again and sometimes I wake up and forget she's gone.
