Let's go! Still a lot of gaps to fill in too.

It's the little things in life. I just unlocked this gooey boi.

Legit thought you were talking about Big O and Kamen Rider for a sec.

I was reminded that there was actually a 2008 game called Turning Point: Fall of Liberty where it was an alt history where the Nazis won and took over the USA. And in case, anyone forgot: that was a bad thing. I found old marketing materials where THESE POSTCARDS were the pre-order bonus. Yikes.

Oh good, tomorrow is moving day.

Paused at the exact right moment. I feel this image in my soul.

Personally having C-PTSD, depression, and anxiety, plus knowing how the world is right now, I wanted to spend my evening learning instead of doom scrolling. So, I got Be There Certified. I learned a lot and I hope to be able to help better, if it's ever needed. Plus, it was free to do.

This is concerning.

Bam! My third God Pack at around 9400 cards. And to think I almost saved those 12 hourglasses. I'm excited to use my new Rare Candy in a deck.

Maybe one day, I'll revive the PDGC and turn it into something big. The Discord server, 8 years later, still has nearly 350 people in it, completely dormant, waiting until PDGC IV: The Return. 10/fin

I do know that I barely scratched the surface in the amount of people I should be thanking for making all 3 PDGC events so magical. It'd be impossible to track down and manually thank them all again, especially here on Bluesky. But, it had to be one of my favorite things I ever did in my career. 9/x

The last one finally did me in. I got a new job around after and I just didn't have the time to do it anymore. Thus, the end of an era, just 3 events in across a little over a full year. I don't have a point or anything, just reminiscing & telling an interesting story of my past. That's all. 8/x

The third (and last) PDGC, also took place in 2017 and had 38 speakers. We brought back a lot of the PDGC alumni, plus a ton of new speakers like @jenmacl.bsky.social @kateedwards.bsky.social and @mikejaret.bsky.social . It was amazing, as expected. 7/x

The second event was just massive. I was still basically handling it all mostly on my own, voluntarily, & just because I wanted to bring joy and knowledge to people.

Just some more special shoutouts to PDGC II Alumni like @theninthangel.bsky.social @dave.newblood.games @nealhallford.bsky.social 6/x

It was a hit. I can't believe we got through it at that point. But, I needed more. I needed bigger. I was addicted to running something so awesome, free, and helpful. I immediately got planning on PDGC II, set for early 2017. That one had 34 speakers, a lot of which were previous people. 5/x

We had my wife & myself running the show, with 3 volunteers. I was the host, showrunner, director, producer, & talent coordinator. We ran it on Discord, so people could talk and hangout all night and discuss games and such all they wanted. But, it also allowed for the speakers to talk verbally. 4/x

Seeing the GDC discourse lately reminded me that I created the first entirely digital conference on Discord back in 2016 called the Power-Up Digital Games Conference. The PDGC was born out of realizing a lot of people just couldn't go to big events like GDC. So, I came up with something weird. 1/x

I was reminded of derpy Beta Gengar. I hate that I love him like my own son.

That sounds like so much fun! I used to run a LGS and I was also the forever DM. One of my players drew our group (and Yavin, their trickster guild master NPC that may or may not have been a self stand-in).

Listen, RSVLTS, I like your stuff often. But, uh... I feel like I shouldn't buy this one for myself. Not the vibe I'd like to go with as a southern white man.

Please tell me these are fake names.

Sharing this this way because I don't want to give them engagement. Just yikes. What a shitty thing. I miss the old Hard Drive.

This is meme worthy.

What's awkward is that the carousel has clearly legit stickers for retail and restaurants mixed in with the oddball stickers.
