My congregation doesn't have a non-/anti-zionist group, but we do have members with a wide range of views on Zionism. The members and rabbi are very accepting of this range of views. We have no official stance on the issue as a congregation.

I was so lucky to have seen and heard Dr. King in person at the University of Denver when I was a freshman. And I was in the student union there at a rally in 1968 when I heard that he had been assassinated.

At this point in my life, I have more trans, enby, gay, and bi friends than I do cishet ones. But my cishet friends are also very trans-enby-gay-and-bi-friendly.

It bothers me that most of the mass media, including my daily paper, The Denver Post, has het-washed the memory of Renee Nicole Good by ignoring the reality of her wife and just mentioning her "partner" with no more information on the relationship or gender of her spouse.

Thanks so much for mentioning the songwriter! Yip Harburg, socialist Jewish songwriter, is one of my favorite people in the culture. He also wrote "Brother, Can You Spare a Dime" and the book and lyrics for the musical "Finian's Rainbow," another favorite of mine.
