Canadian workers are under attack.

A 25% tariff on our auto industry—plus more threats to steel and aluminum—puts thousands of jobs at risk.

CUPE stands with all workers affected by these reckless policies—our government must fight back.

This is an attack on working people. A 25% tariff on Canadian autos and the looming threats to steel and aluminum are direct hits to the livelihoods of thousands of workers. We cannot afford to stand by—it's time for our government to take real action to protect workers and our economy.

since this whole mess amounts to America energetically competing to shoot itself in both feet as much as it can, on behalf of all Canadians everywhere I'll concede: you're right JD, nobody does it like the Yanks
JD Vance:

"The Canadian leadership threatening retaliatory tariffs against the Untied States... They just don't have the cards. There is no way that Canada can win a trade war with the United States."

Poilievre says he won’t raise the retirement age, but his party has already lied about raising the retirement age once before.

They committed in their 2011 platform that they wouldn't cut pensions, then they went ahead and did it anyway. And they did it from Davos, Switzerland of all places.

The news from Gaza that Israel has resumed indiscriminate bombing of the civilian population is horrifying. The death toll, more than 400 people in less than 24 hours, is beyond comprehension.

Shame
CUPE members at the Saskatoon Public Library responded to at least 48 overdoses this year, double the same period in 2024. In response, Saskatoon Public Library has closed two branches.

Scott Moe is responsible, and what did he do in his latest budget? More cuts.

It is amazing to be in Alberta, where CUPE members are leading the fight to defend the rights of workers and defending public services from Premiere Danielle Smith's relentless attacks.

Amazing to be at the CUPE Alberta convention as we mark a huge win for education workers across this province.

Premier Smith might have missed the memo about what happens when you pick a fight with CUPE. We never back down from a fight. When we fight, we win!
