#lughnasadh2025 literally small potatoes! My first #potatoharvest ever!
a rectangle mirror, dinner plate size, with various witchey items sits on a blue sky summer day (august first 2025). the mirror sits on a round glass table, and next to the mirror there are 5 potatoes visible, two big ones and 3 small ones, the small ones attached to a pulled potato plant with visible roots. 4 brioche donuts from a place called Mello! these are fluffy, custard filled donuts with sprinkles of sugar all over. On the bottom right is a new mango custard donut, and facing the camera is a little wafer daisy (which was delicious.) The visible mango custard is a buttery yellow colour. Theres a strawberry creme custard donut with little strawberries visible on top. Theres a vanilla donut, and a tiramisu donut as well.

I voted at Killarney and luckily it was about 5/10/15 mins total, felt very quick. 10:30/11am ish.

I also voted by mail, and completely missed the big purple “vote by mail” drop off box when I entered.

Richard Wright’s “Black Boy”, 6th anniversary edition. Richard Wright grew up in the woods of Mississippi amid poverty, hunger, fear and hatred. He lied, stole, and raged at those around him; at six he was a “drunkard”, hanging about in taverns. Surly, brutal, cold, suspicious, and self-pitying, he was surrounded by on one side whites who were either indifferent to him, pitying, or cruel, and on the other by blacks who resented anyone trying to rise above the common lot. Black Boy is Richard Wright’s powerful account of his journey from innocence to experience in Jim Crow South. It is at once an unashamed confession and a profound indictment - a poignant and disturbing record of social injustice and human suffering. Richard Wright (1908-1960) is the author of Native Son, the first novel by an African American to be featured as a Main Selector of the Book-of-the-month club. He also wrote The Outsider, the Long Dream, and many other works.
