Dad DID NOT have a good day after lunch yesterday. He was defiant even after he was in bed. He started sundowning at 3:00 pm. It was a rough one and we got through it. But today is a new day. Let’s find some silver linings, shall we?

The sister, @themaricruz.bsky.social, & I may have poured just a wee bit too much Rosé for Daddy before we sat down for Thanksgiving lunch. Dad instantly became a chatterbox 😆. I’ve never heard him speak so much in my life! Sissy took him for a walk as “penance.” I, however, remain unrepentant 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I just pray we can limit the amount of damage and carnage this fool inflicts on the world.

Nvmd…unsuccessful at keeping Dad asleep. He’s up and constantly peeking into my guest room. This is not gonna be like any other trip. Dad just can’t do this anymore. #dementia

4 AM-ish: Had a mini “go to sleep” battle w/Dad who has dementia while we’re staying at my sister’s house. My Mom gave her all in said battle. I think I got him to sleep bc I hear not a peep. But now I can’t sleep. Ugh,I feel like Fezzik from “The Princess Bride.” Welcome to rhyme time, baby.
