It comes out more like a question than she wanted it to, but the answer is very clear: Hansol is bald. Very obviously and irrevocably. Hansol smiles sheepishly from the doorway and runs a hand over the fuzz on her head. Seokmin feels her world tilt off-axis. “Soonyoung shaved it for me,” Hansol says. “I did his and then I thought hey, I’ve been wanting to try a buzz cut for ages, and I already had the clippers in my hand, and— does it look really ridiculous?” Seokmin shakes her head in stupor. “No, it looks cute, you look cute,” she says, and watches in delight as the tips of Hansol’s ears turn a lovely shade of pink. Truth be told, Seokmin always thinks Hansol looks cute. It kind of comes with the territory of having seen her grow from a lanky, awkward, semi-closeted teenager into the third most confident dyke in their friend group (and she's only third because there truly is no beating Jihoon or Minghao). It comes with the territory of being the only single lesbians among their group too, which comes with a stupid, ill-advised crush on Seokmin’s side, and the even more ill-advised occasional “unnie we should fuck,” from Hansol. It's not until Hansol has come inside and toed off her shoes that she looks at Seokmin, a stupid wide grin on her face, and thrusts a bag into Seokmin’s arms with a cheerful “happy birthday!” on her lips and an excited sparkle in her eyes.
