I have to disagree. Wheatley is not really that annoying and is actually a well written character with some funny lines and his role in the story is really cool. From everything we've seen and heard, Mackenzie is none of those things.

Silksong was made by a small team, yes, but Silksong was also only a year or so out from full release by this point! Whereas with FNF we have no reason to believe development is any farther than what the demo shows currently due to the radio silence on their end

I think another problem is the size of the team. These guys have 2 million dollars and if you look at the credits of the most recent update, taking away guest features and special thanks, it's like 5 people. Where is that 2 million going if not towards expanding the team, I have to wonder

Mackenzie's inclusion has also exposed a lot of "fans" as well haha. You have people saying Metroid shouldn't have companions at all and you have people saying Metroid has always had companions, why is it a problem now? Both completely missing the point imo.

Yep! I can get being concerned with JUST the Direct trailer but now with the preview embargo lifted and the clarification that it's a hub, it's just ignorance. +

People are taking one genuine criticism and applying it to the whole game lol. Yes Mackenzie is an extremely short sighted and stupid inclusion that will have a negative impact on the game. But man, have they watched any other footage? It looks great because it looks like Metroid Prime lol
