Through grit teeth, Fushiguro answers. "No. I'd like to hit something until my knuckles bleed." Yuuji swallows. Fushiguro doesn't follow the action; that piercing green gaze is staring into Yuuji's, pleading. There's no wetness welling up anymore, and Yuuji is grateful for that. "Let's go," Yuuji agrees, finally recognizing what Fushiguro is obviously trying to tell him. Yuuji wonders the parameters of the curse — it seems to be more than a vow preventing lies.

itadori doesn't know this yet, but fushiguro sure knows the "ghost stories." mostly because fushiguro's a monster hunter, but hey, what you don't know and all.

He doesn’t have need to. Yuuji cannot remember when he’d memorized it. Such things get lost in the haze of same-same, in a place like this. He hates it as much as he loves it, and sometimes, in moments like these, he understands why Nobara hates it, why she wants to run away from it — from him. From any reminder of a youth wasted, but Yuuji doesn’t know if it’s been wasted yet. Fushiguro hums. “It’s got it’s charm.” That’s a nice way of saying, there’s nothing to do around here, and Yuuji can hear it plainly, but he chooses not to call Fushiguro on it. Yuuji snorts, reaching up to cover his mouth. “Yeah, I suppose it does. How’s the manor? Any ghost stories yet?”
