some pictures from our equinox rite on Thursday morning. We put together a few deceased plants from the previous season , wrote out intentions on peeled birch bark and tossed it too the ducks, climbed a tree, sat in the sun and read Yates’ ‘The Wanderings of Oisin’

attempting to set up an archival field recording label called Field Note Recordings and my first project will be an album of all tram stops in Manchester. Also audio journals from a shitty little SANYO TALK-BOOK. Will be based on bandcamp but will also be available for free on Internet Archive.

Here's a collection of a few short films from late 2024. Bonfire night, a walk with Oli in Hebden , a week in december and a morning in an empty casino.
The soundtrack is a piece I made called 'Voices', it's entirely made of various samples of human voices. God bless. ://youtu.be/MdSsHyCjW3c

I know the Golden Dawn are old hat and problematic, ceremonial magic is not necessarily the path that I want to be going down (again), but oh my, there’s something about an occasional LBRP that just WORKS so well for me

it’s mandatory and normal to have a spiritual crisis that begins on Boxing Day and climaxes on New Year’s Eve

Spong Man: This thoughtful littler fella is a pottery lid of a cremation urn. Discovered in an Anglo-Saxon cremation site in 1979 at Spong Hill, Norfolk, he dates somewhere between 460 and 1090 AD.

very much enjoying this wonderful tome. I’ve been stuck on trains all day trying to get home to visit my family near Whitby, my head is a wash with ghosts of crumbling Roman leaders, both brave and cowardly Britons and the looming menace of the invading saxons (only just read up to about 430)

4am reading, so far I am quite dubious and almost disgusted by this book but still extremely curious about where on earth they’re going with all this
This was written at the height of the ‘satanic panic’ in America and must have been extremely (if not intentionally) shocking at the time

(re)beginning Josephine McCarthy’s Quaraia course in the morning, fingers crossed I’ll stick to it this time. Despite being extremely disenchanted from the Golden Dawn tradition this quote at the beginning of the so-called Black Brick, often comes to mind…
