I’m teaching my granddaughters (5 & 8) paper piecing. I cut, they sew. When we finished the sections, they got time on their tablets while I had a stiff gin and bitter lemon. We finished them in one day, (not recommended) and only broke one sewing machine! #uplift #fabricart, #quilting

Before Xmas, my granddaughter designed a dress for me to make for her. Last visit, she picked out the fabric I should use. It's finished just in time for her 5th birthday next week.

This is what’s happening in my riding too. It used to be a close race between the conservatives and the NDP, but now that there is a lot of liberal support, the progressive vote is split.

I finished these valentines fridge magnets for my partner, my grandchildren and their parents. I have the gorilla glue all over my fingers to prove it. #uplift

This is the start of some Valentines I’m making for my family. Next I plan to embellish them. Then I’ll figure out how to add names. Ultimately they will be fancy fridge magnets. #FabricArt #quilting #uplift

I just finished reading The Runaway by Nancy Vo. Then of course I had to reread the first two in her Crow Stories Trilogy. I fell in love with all of them all over again. Each reading I appreciate them more. Vo's #mixedmediaart is just stunning!

This is my favourite Christmas gift. It was designed, traced, cut, stuffed, and hand sewn by my 7 year old grandson. It came with this card. Perhaps he will become the next #EdwardGorey?

It isn't exactly what you are looking for, but have you seen this?

I understand. I finished a unicorn quilt for my granddaughter and it's now time to make one for my grandson. This is what he wants. I've got about 5 other quilts on the go as well - and I don't work full time like you do!

Hurrah my eldest granddaughter's quilt is finished! I like #FabricArts #Quilting & #Unicorns, but I do not like #PaperPiecing. #Uplift

I purchased these last weekend. I figure every project I have on the go should have it's own pair of scissors - the cooler the better.

This #cankidlit #graphic fantasy novel by Mike & Nancy Deas is full of gorgeous art, suspense, (I was creeped out a bit) humour, magic, delightful characters and intergenerational friendships. What more do you want? #kidlit

A year ago my 6 year old granddaughter showed me a pattern of some mice wearing clothes and asked if I could make them. I replied, of course I could. I had no idea it would become an obsession. Here are my most recent creations.

That’s exactly how I feel!
Another Canadian author with a similar kind of character is When We Were Vikings by Andrew Macdonald. #CanLit

The worst thing about finishing this book, is knowing that there will be another, but next September feels like forever away! I adored all these characters, but Christopher and Mal stole my heart. Thank you Katherine Rundell for Impossible Creatures.
