I was a 3rd year med student in 1983, and during my Peds rotation, we did lots of spinal taps on little kids for septic work-ups. Then the H flu vaccine came out. When I did my Peds rotation 2 years later, we did NO spinal taps—the kids weren’t coming in the meningitis anymore. Vaccines matter.

I’m happy for you! Hopefully Laura continues to improve quickly. My husband and I are probably the other people you see masked up when in stores. 😊 When Covid started , we determined to do our best not to get or give this disease. So far, we’ve been successful.

Good choice! My husband and I promised at the beginning of Covid not to bring it home to each other, or give it to others. We always wear our N-95s when indoors with folks not in our bubble. We don’t eat indoors with others unless there’s excellent ventilation. So great not to have gotten Covid.

For anyone going to gatherings, might I suggest signs that say something like: “Lose your _____(you fill in the blank), thank the GOP.”
