amazing how one of the better known PRC propagandist on X (who proudly describes themselves as such) has come up with the concept of "multi-ethnic ethnostate" and a theory that "socialist" ethnonationalim is superior to other ethnonationalims
X post: China is a multi-ethnic ethnostate, in fact most constitutionally communist/ socialist countries are ethnostates. A multi-ethnic ethnostate, is a country where the national identity is made up of the main ethnicity + minorities that are indigenous to that country. Such as China's Han + 55 ethnic minorities. This national identity, a family if you will, is set and are not open for mass migration. Which is why I always find it amusing when the Western Right, keep making up nonsense how mass migration is because of "communists and socialists". In reality, multiculturalism, mass migration and open borders are the product of neoliberalism. A middle of the road Republican ideology from the 1980s.

In the 1990s and 2000s there was a popular magazine in China called Yilin 意林. It's known for making up "foreign moon is rounder" type of stories, like, toilet flush water in Japan is so clean it's drinkable, or Germans left replacement parts in the Qingdao sewage system 100 yrs ago
