The National Airborne Service Corps base at Songshan Airport in Taipei is 41% complete.

Two UH-60M Black Hawks will be deployed in 2029, a one-year delay. A third AS-365 Dauphin will add to the two at the base.

The aircraft and base will improve search-and-rescue operations in northern Taiwan.

NEW: The U.S. announced a US$330-million sale of aircraft parts to Taiwan for F-16 fighters, C-130 transport aircraft, and F-CK-1 fighters on 11/13.

This arms sale is the first of the second Trump administration. The DSCA notified Congress of the sale after the State Department approved it.

Taiwan legislator Chen Hsueh-sheng (KMT-Lienchiang) says in a hearing aboit opening up Gaodeng Island for tourism that “the 20-ish soldiers on Gaodeng Island are very lonely and might turn gay if left alone for too long.”

The island is less than 6 miles from China and serves as a military garrison.
