With all the flaws the EU may have, I hate that they did that. And a lot of my friends and people around here would agree. Now they're going as far as to make us pay for entry. Even within the EU, borders are being restored, when one of our core principles that we'd agreed on was to phase them out.

Europe in general is quite accurately described as a fortress. I think that's a shame, I think we could give shelter to everyone if we taxed our rich a bit more.

Yeah, that's part of a bigger problem. Some have also been deported because agents believed that they lied on their country of origin (happened to some North Koreans arriving in Europe)

Hungary and Poland we mostly hear about in relation to their restrictive abortion laws. As for asylum seeking, it is indeed a big issue here in France, but I'm not sure why you'd tie it in to LGBT people, unless you're talking about people seeking asylum specifically because of persecution on LGBT.
