Sam and I are home from the Global Artivism conference in Brazil! We had the honor of discussing roads as canvas with folks from around the world, and facilitated a workshop: small groups were assigned a fictional neighborhood, project partners and tasks to design traffic-calming murals!

I needed to run some caution tape 4 miles to the team on site today and almost drove — until I remembered it was the #weekwithoutdriving! I had a lunchtime gorgeous ebike ride across the city and got some cool “before” footage of these barriers 😎

On Peace Day today I’d like to remind folks that one of the most effective tools for lasting peacebuilding is friendship. Through various fellowships and programs of which I’ve been a part, intentional friendship between citizens who are “supposed” to hate each other are a secret sauce to dialogue.
