Quite in awe of my lil patch of woods, especially the part I’m trying to reestablish/rewild. This year the bare compacted and eroding soil has been spared the herbicide it’s been fed for so long, & now volunteers forget me not, centaury, saint John’s wart, mullion, fox glove, daisy and more!

As of today I’m just shy of 14,000 words into writing my story Black Fin. Also I brewed more sun tea, this time a mix of Purple Kenyan and lavender.

This incredibly ornate lil butterfly settled into the rocks by the pond so I tried to take a vid of it and it promptly left. I feel as though I failed a test.

Ocularous Divinarium Mascaria is a rarely sighted mushroom specific to the Northwest hills of Portland Oregon that while noted to be highly poisonous if consumed, is otherwise reputed for its local cryptid lore as being a shape shifting mischievous entity.

Having the most wonderful afternoon in the garden devouring a new @nnedi.bsky.social novel, Death of the Author, and in the company of some curious humming birds checking out the first of the honeysuckle blooms, though they are so flighty I haven’t had success snaking a pic just yet.
