Hacked the Mood Carya Shirt pattern into a fun little drawstring dress 💕💕 just cropped the shirt at the waist, added a fold-over channel for the drawstring at the top of a basic a-line skirt, and attached them. I love it 🪡✨

Finding unique slime molds has to be the best byproduct of hunting for mushrooms to photograph. I'm not exactly sure of the species here, but it definitely reminds me of Leocarpus fragilis, a slime mold in used to see all the time in California 🍋🍊 🍄📷 📸🎞 🌿🌱 🟢 🍄 🍄‍🟫 🍯
Little yellow-orange, droplet-shaped slime mold fruit bodies dangle from a slanted dead branch that sticks out of the ground. The droplets are tightly clustered together and only hang from the underside of the branch.

I always find the survival of glass from antiquity to be amazing, but sometimes you come across quite extraordinary pieces.

This Romano-Germanic glass item is moulded into the form of a little fish or whale and it’s delightful.

Just finished making a little cropped Luna tank to match a self drafted skirt I sewed up a few months ago 🪡 did not realize that this pattern was meant for knit fabric until I cut out the pieces, but I added a button closure in the back and it worked out just fine 🍒

I can still feel the excitement I had when I came across a cluster of this incredible fungi, Hydnellum peckii. Commonly known as the strawberries and cream or bleeding tooth mushroom, this stuff is just too amazing to not get up close and look at it in detail 🔍 🍄📷 📸🎞 🌿🌱 🍄‍🟫 🍄 📷 🍓🥛
An alien looking fungi grows out of decaying wood and moss. This is Hydnellum peckii, a strange fungi that grows in similar shapes to shelf fungi, but during the height of its metabolism and esrly growth, it heavily guttates a deep red wine-colored liquid. Guttation is the process mushrooms and other plants go through to release liquids that are produced within them as they grow.
