I know the child welfare system is overburdened and I’m sure there isn’t much that can be done, but inaction is not an option. If I held my children at gunpoint and left them zip-tied on the back yard, surely I would be charged with abuse/neglect at the very least.

Hi, I’m a mother and a social worker. I will contact Chicago DCFS to report suspected child abuse due to these reports, I encourage others to do the same. If I zip-tied my kids naked outside in the middle of the night, surely they’d open an investigation. The phone # is 1-800-25ABUSE (252-2873).

When people say Chicago is a war zone, I think about when I lived there to attending college around the time Obama was elected. The scariest thing I witnessed was some white supremacists driving through campus dragging an Obama effigy behind their vehicle. Fuck ICE.

My husband was deployed in 2020, when the first Trump admin killed that important Iranian general. We now know they downplayed several attacks on military bases in the Middle East after that incident to manipulate public opinion; I think it’s safe to assume the same is happening now. Disgraceful.
