Hakeem, we need a plan. We need to fight dirty. Being nice, playing by the rules (that they disregard everyday), and expecting them to come to the table or “just do the right thing” is NOT a winning formula.

You’re seriously expecting 3 Republicans to find it in their heart to do what’s right? I love you, man, but that’s delusional. I wish I had confidence R’s will “do the right thing” but they’ve shown time and again, what is good and “right” matters less than what der anfüer thinks. Hope I’m wrong.

This sort of protest isn’t realistic for us…
we came together for the Women’s March. Then, great numbers gathered for the March for Our Lives.
These took months of planning and coordination. Spontaneity - protest like that - especially in my state - would have zero impact.

One major challenge we have is logistics. We are almost ≈4mil sq miles of territory here in the US vs the ≈19 Thousand Sq mi of Slovakia…
Where do we gather? D.C.? We can expect the national guard to be brought in now…

I appreciate the question. Came to bsky to get away from Meta and the noise about what 47 is doing or saying . It’s important to stay informed, I know. But for me, a media diet, meditation, and lots of rest is what I need for my mental health.
