I got to play a new TTRPG - Cottages and Cerberus - last night and I'm feeling totally normal about my character's companion.

Played a 2p round of A Place for All My Books which delivered from @smirkanddagger.bsky.social and it really hits the spot. Cozy theme, ample decisions to make, an ever-changing puzzle, and tactile pieces to play with.

I love when the TL aligns:
Two Bluesky posts on the timeline, the first from eizebasa.baby reads "The Phoenician Scheme has a truly shocking moment I wasn't prepared for in the least, something unprecedented in Anderson's filmography: a closeup on a character's face." The second, from dmcalvert.bsky.social is simply a photo of the side profile of a quite large sculpted head of what appears to be some sort of reptile (it it out of context, perhaps a turtle?) painted in a teal/green colour with a big yellow eye and a frown, both outlined in black.

Getting through the workday
A recreation of the Simpsons "Do it For Her" sign in two frames. The top is a sketch of H. My Hoya Pubicalyx could no longer support the weight of all of its vines on one little tendril draped over the mirror, so I improvised with scotch tape and bobby pins.

This African Violet was propagated from a leaf of a beautiful plant that my grandmother owned, and then my mother, and then me until I made some poor, devastating decisions. I tried to save four leaves but only one survived and that's what's important. The plant survived.

I cannot adequately capture just how much snow has accumulated in our yard. Something about where we're situated in the complex means we have *all* the snow.
A BBQ nearly fully buried beneath mounds of snow, the trays bottom edges only barely uncovered by rising drifts. A large snowdrift partially obscures the frame because the picture taker can't see past it.

A while ago I accidentally broke some leaves off of a friend's African Violet during a visit and took them home to see what I could salvage. I'm rescuing another AV so had a vague hopeful plan. Three leaves came home, only one survived the transfer from water propagating into soil. This is her today
A small African Violet is planted in a plastic terracotta coloured pot with water catch. The plant has fairly sparse bright green leaves, intensifying in the center growth, and is opening a bright purple flower with it's vibrant yellow center. There are buds for two more flowers. Part of another similarly potted African Violet (with darker leaves) is visible but cut off in the frame.

Really glad there's no where I have to go today
A small fenced in back yard, heaped with snow. Deep drifts block the open sliding door (where the picture is being taken from), connecting up to the tall mound on top of an AC unit next to it. A BBQ against the fence is covered in three separate mounds. Though the picture taker did not take measurements, she estimates the snow is somewhere between 1-2 feet deep in these drifts.
