“Go to Krillin’s this Friday? I mean no disrespect, but I have more effective methods of training than lifting crates of milk. Besides, Chiaotzu and I have a strict 9:00 bedtime. Don’t we, Chiaotzu?”

“Y…yeah…”

“I don’t know who I am anymore, I’m getting too much money”

And there’s the setup for CCA

“Not that Belladonna Took ever had any adventures after she became Mrs. Bungo Baggins. Bungo, that was Bilbo’s father, built the most luxurious hobbit-hole for her (and partly with her money)”

You see, Bilbo has had a very hard day, and just wants a cake, but dwarves suddenly start spilling into his home, and the rules of hospitality mean he must give them cake, but what if he runs out of cake and has none left for himself?!

Makes it even funnier that they brought back David Tennant for Ahsoka

Tbh the Valve Frame is probably the most interesting announcement to me, someone who doesn’t care much about VR. If it has a Snapdragon and runs Steam games locally, that’s gotta mean an official ARM translation layer, right? Steam games for phones (without winlator or similar apps) incoming?

Anyway, I *am* very happy to see Time Stranger succeed and people enjoying it. Here’s hoping they use all these new assets and goodwill to make another Hacker’s Memory.

I really should go back and play the DS ones at some point

I think if I hadn’t played Cyber Sleuth, I would adore Time Stranger. As is, it’s still quite good, but you’d def be missing out if you let the new shiny be the end of your Digimon game journey.

Still a hearty rec, but also I wouldn’t say it supersedes anything that came before it. That’s a v weird narrative I’ve seen forming with this game. Still best viewed in context with the other Digimon Story games rather than put on a pedestal, imo (also looking at ppl pitting jt against Legends ZA).

The writing’s not bad fwiw, but you can definitely feel the 8-year development cycle in the game’s structure (dungeons and side quests, too), especially in the back half.
