In summary, i literally don't give a shit about anything i'm writing, but it's frustrating to see the commodification of a way of enjoying stigmatized and affordable products, fed to masses too illiterate to know how to order or enjoy something that someone on an ad hasn't held in front of them.

I see, shared between Tiktok, Youtube shorts, and streaming platform ads, a "viral pizza" - wherein someone or someones had recreated the garlic parm and extra cheese tech, promoted it as "heightening" an otherwise underwhelming Domino's experience. What's more, and utterly appalling, was (cont.)

the garlic parmesan sauce. Adding extra cheese. adding more proteins, chicken, bacon, etc. The result was a baked masterpiece of high caloric value otherwise unattainable for similar price elsewhere. But no one listened, because people are slow to change their biases.

Domino's pizza. Domino's gets a bad rap and is often referred to as "trashy" or "mid" or other descriptors as relates to its low price points, fast assembly, and chain status. I always took issue with this, not only because of the general snobbery, but particularly because the Domino's Opps (cont.)

day to make sure you could make rent on top of groceries, especially if you're going to college. Groceries consisted of pasta and waffles, and between studying, usually you don't have a lot of time left over. Which is why, at the end of the week, it was nice to splurge on something you didn't cook:
