Is this group still meeting regularly at Green Lady?

I meant to respond to Liz, not Ken, but I haven’t adjusted to bsky yet, so my bad.

I also don’t think we’re making Gerry do anything, but I agree that the septa- and octogenarians in politics need to learn how to let go and retire.

Everyone *eventually* dies, cancer is not an automatic death sentence, even at his age. As a cancer survivor myself, only the patient & their doctors have the right to determine what they are capable of handling during treatment.

That being said, I so wished AOC would get it 😩

My oncologist said better to gain than lose. I had dexamethasone for the day before/of/after to combat some side effects of chemo, but it all varies. Those days were the best I felt during chemo. Lots of energy to clean & prepare for the next wave of SE.

It depends on the person and the treatment! Mine was straight/slightly wavy & came back curly. I've heard other people can lose color OR gain color back after previously being gray. I've also heard of others with curly hair that grew back straight. It's like a new roll of the hair dice!

Yup! Since chemo affects your rapidly growing cells most, your hair, nails, & mucous membranes (incl. digestive tract) are the primary places you see an effect as those cells turn over quickly. I was also advised to eat a high-protein diet to combat the muscle breakdown from the chemo. EXHAUSTING.
